Blue Sweats It Out

It was a perfectly hot day to enjoy sweating but we took that enjoyment too far in experiencing the other type of sweat in the ninth inning. Blue saw its 18 run lead shrink to eight before closing out Carroll Gray 28-20. Too many contributions from all Blue players to enumerate but I will mention John's torrid bat again, saving and excepting one "mis-cue"! Our defensive cut-offs, relays and backups showed we know what we're doing. Third game in a row that a wrong color shirt appeared but luckily he's the guy that lives closest to the park. Accolades are due our Manager/Pitcher for calling into play an antiquated and obscure rule to end Gray's 4th inning rally by leaving men on base as we walked off the field with only two outs. Hats off to our opponents for their valiant comeback effort. John Myers wants to know the source of our steroids while Murph misses us so much that he was always on base with us in the field. Gambling that Tom Henry was a "Gentleman", I now know and thank him for not taking my teeth out at second base. And to our Consigliere; Tinker's dekes are intended to fool the opponents not our left fielder!
