Baseball's Sad Lexicon: Tinker to Evers to Chance

Three years ago I started this blog using one of baseball's most famous poems.
Jestingly, I adopted the nom de plume of Tinker while assigning "Evers" to Mel and "Chance" to Hank. As a rookie back then I knew I had joined a great group of men but have grown to learn that as a team we do possess the magic of those great Cubs of yore. 2012 marks the 100th anniversary of only one of four 8 game World Series.
How fitting is it that now Mel is our coach and his beloved BoSox won the World Series in 1912 in eight games. Let's win the Championship for dear Evers. Karma is ours as he even talked John McGraw (Lee Ludwig aka "Daddy") out of retirement.
