Twin Win

Hot bats and hotter gloves propelled Blue past Silver in today's doubleheader. Mike remained hot at the plate while Pete drew two walks(it's called respect) and Ben smoked one. Evers produced a timely hit in a pressure situation and all the other bats came through. Oh yes, I must highlight Hank's speed in digging out a double today. Blue benefitted from flawless outfield play to include an innovative soccer move by JB! Welcome back to Bob who may want to consider an eyeglass strap to keep them on when catching fly balls at full tilt (although Dave had no similiar problem in tracking all his down). Oscar went the distance for both games working the plate like a master. Thanks Al for your acknowledgement of my vertical leaps today although I doubt the 42" you indicated. After reflection I have decided that my return to hitting was due to playing relaxed (I didn't have the pressure of worrying about forcing a certain player out today)! Look for Al's over the shoulder catch on the highlight reel tonight.
