Blue is neither English nor Mad Dogs so we should avoid the midday sun.
First game, being played in only 90 degree heat, yielded an 11-6 victory.
In the absence of our minister and lay minister we opted for The Lord's
Prayer to begin the morning. What we failed to do was to remember The
Hail Mary for game two as we fell to Glen Burnie 15-7. I need to mention
that our versatility was again tested due to all our injured and that the
newest middle infielders, Larry, Oscar and Harry continued their perfect
fielding percentage from last week. John has regained pre-vacation form
which causes Ray to circle the bases frequently. Hank continued his hot
hitting, even with his concentration interrupted by cell phone calls from his fan club.
AND, to Neal, I have seen guys make those same catches in their hip pockets.
And, what about Harry, yet another pinpoint hit.

It is a little embarrassing to say that I went to the wrong field today. I thought that someone has told me that all of the rest of our games would be at home field. It turned out to be my misunderstanding. I should have double confirmed about it.
ReplyDeleteWhen I got there this morning, I saw the Gray team was playing. I asked Ray “Where is my team?” He said “They are here. Look at them! They are on the field! I said to him “No, no, they are Gray. I am looking for Blue. Gray is not my team.” He kept saying to me ”This is your team. Sit down and watch the game with me!” While we continued “arguing” one another with laughs I asked around “Where is Blue? Which team are they playing with today?” at Gray's bench. Yet no one knew about it. A couple of the Gray players said to me “There was not even listed on the website so that I do not know where they are today!”
Oh My Gosh! I could not find where you were playing today. I was at huge loss since I woke up early morning and drove over 50 miles to get there. Yet I missed watching your games today.
By the time I finally could talk to Hank on the phone, it was too late for me to come over. How stupid I was!!!! I could not believe that I went to the wrong field! Have I also started to have a senior moment like some of you guys??? I hope not…. hahaha
I am very sorry that I missed your games today!
Love,
